Growth and change are important to any organization. I am pleased to announce that NAOI is in the process of expanding our educational platform.
We are excited to announce that NAOI has been given the authority to assume the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training from the Mat-Su Borough. Due to bedgetary constraints, the Borough was unable to continue this program. However, the powers that be recognized that this training was essential to our communites and approached us to see if we could continue with it. Bea Adler did an outstanding job ensuring that a quality program was delivered and sustained, and we vow to continue that trend. Although we have worked with the Borough in presenting this class before, this will be a new undertaking for NAOI. We are still finalizing some of the details so please stay tuned for updates as they happen.
Two more classes that we are in the process of adding are the State of Alaska Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-1) training programs. As we are in the beginnnig stages of this process we do not have a firm date as to when this will occur. Again, please keep checking back as we will post updates as they happen.
